Chemical Peels including VI Peel

My chemical peel treatments reveal fresher skin by removing the outermost layers. Preparation makes all the difference in how your skin responds and how smoothly you peel.

Before Your Peel

  • Limit sun exposure and wear SPF daily for 2 weeks prior.
  • Discontinue retinoids, exfoliants, and irritating products 5โ€“7 days before treatment.
  • Avoid active ingredients (retinoids, acids, benzoyl peroxide, Vitamin C) for 7 days before.
  • Keep skin well moisturized leading up to treatment.
  • Avoid waxing or shaving the treatment area for 1 week prior.
  • We do not treat patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

After Your Peel

  • Avoid exercise the day of treatment and for 24 hours after.
  • VI Peel patients: do not cleanse for 4 hours. Follow your VI Peel aftercare instructions carefully.
  • Avoid waxing, tweezing, or depilatory creams near treated areas.
  • If skin becomes irritated before your appointment, notify us at least 24 hours in advance.

๐Ÿ“… Scheduling with Other Treatments

A peel and neurotoxin treatment may be done the same day (peel first, toxin second). Otherwise, schedule peels at least 2 weeks after toxin or filler.

Mild redness and peeling are completely normal. Do not pick or manually exfoliate. Let your skin shed on its own for the best results.
